In this troubled world I have peace, guidance and hope for the future  because I know all my sin and failures Jesus paid for when He died on the cross. I’m forgiven and I can face eternity without fear. Until that day He guides my way through His Word. He lights my path.Mary Dalton

“I wasn’t born in a Christian home and became a Christian in my early 20’s. I left my home country and came to the UK. I didn’t know GOD, I just knew about Him. I searched for purpose and meaning in people, in myself, in my friends or in relationships. I also became very fixated on myself and my image and became consumed with what people thought of me and was living for the acceptance of the world.  I lost my dad at 47, when I was just a teenager. I Iost my mum in my early 20’s. In the UK I was at my lowest point when I met a lady called Betty. She supported me before she was a Christian. After she became a believer in Jesus, she shared with me about the love of God. I did not want to know anything about God, as I had lost my parents very young. However, God was speaking to me. I had suicidal thoughts and decided to go to Betty’s Church. The pastor gave out a word of Prophecy and I felt like he was reading my life. I immediately surrendered to God, gained a new family, and drew close to Jesus Christ. My life was changed beyond measure. New doors opened in my village in Zimbabwe. My whole village was touched through the work of God. Now there’s a big Church in Kazingizi village, a Christian School and a thriving Christian community. God showed me that being a ’Christian’ isn’t about just doing good works. He made it clear that I do not have to earn my salvation or His love. I still mess up, but God loves me despite my flaws and imperfections. ” Rudi Gray

On March 25th 1990, at the age of 52, the Lord Jesus came into my life and turned me around to follow Him with a promise that He would never leave me nor forsake me.

At my baptism I was told “Take my hand I won’t ever let you go.” I was encouraged and still am, at the age of 87+ by the Scripture given to  me then: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge HIM and He will direct your path.”

My testimony is, He has kept His promise to me and my faith in Him has stood the test of time and trial, because He IS faithful. Betty Lawson
